The Background of Royalwood

Jon and Judy Clapp entered the purebred world in the fall of 1966, but
Royalwood wasn't established until the summer of 1969 in German
Shepherd Dogs; later, in 1976, Pembroke Welsh Corgis were added with
the guiding hand of Mike Sauve. Cardigan Welsh Corgis were
welcomed in 1997 on a full time basis by way of Virginia Volkman,
Leah James, and Kim Rauber.

Both Jon and Judy are retired Educators. Jon is also a retired handler
and now enjoys a limited judging schedule.
